Default Section 11 Training Question

I was reading over the contract and wondering if anybody had any experience with this...

Section 11 - Training
B. Pay and Credit
2) may (if not converted to his new category) be awarded/assigned a white slip, GS, or IA that is scheduled to release prior to commencement of such training. Such pilot will receive, in addition to pay and credit under Section 11 B. 1. a. 1):
a) pay and credit for the white slip, or
b) pay and credit/no credit under Section 23 U. 1. a. for the GS, or
c) pay, no credit for the IA.

In a month where a pilot is in training, but not yet converted, does this mean that, if said pilot would have been awarded/eligible for a GS/IA, that pilot would be credited the credit for said award at his/her existing category?

Does a pilot should put on a blanket WS/GS while in training?

This just seemed a little confusing to me, not sure if anyone else has had experience with this in the past.

Reread this part:
may (if not converted to his new category) be awarded/assigned a white slip, GS, or IA that is scheduled to release PRIOR to commencement of such training.

The bottom line is that once you start training on your new aircraft you no longer "exist" to crew scheduling, regarding your old category. No WS, GS or anything else.

Further, for your new category, you will still bid your next month's schedule via PBS, but other than your initial PBS award, can't make any other schedule changes until fully complete with OE.

I thought I must've been misunderstanding it.

Thanks Herc/Sailing
