I’ve always said that you should never negotiate compensation using a variable such as bonuses and/or profit sharing. It’s a carrot that can be pulled or reduced through a manipulation of accounting(new CapEx, Division A suddenly charging Division B higher rates, large debt payments, etc.) I’ve seen the game played.
I assume there’s nothing contractual for us to have a separate profit sharing program?

A lot of the non cons got hosed pretty good with their profit sharing model. Then you have people saying “but the pilots get......”
Now they will be paid from the same pool with the same relative % as outlined in our PWA.
So we will be seen as equals, one team, blah blah blah. That is fine with me. There must’ve been a union drive in one of the employee groups recently. Lol

WAG, but I take this to mean, among other things, that we are not forecast to exceed our profit from last year thus the company is trying to gain PR points before a potential disaster plays out this coming February.

Not fine with me.
It appears I just lost about 10 grand in one day. Unless one of these math gurus can come on here and tell me how my initial thoughts are wrong.

Didn't they all get a raise last year under the justification that "a higher base salary is what our employees want"?? The company increased their base pay under the justification that their profit sharing was decreasing, and now they get PS back?

I’m curious to hear what ALPA’s response is.

For the record, they keep existing profit sharing for first 3 quarters of 17, only the last reverts to ours.
