Profit Sharing

PS
Why would ALPA say anything? We got what we asked for. We didn't ask to limit anybody else's PS, we just asked for a percentage. I don't know why that would be a surprise to anybody who wanted PS over straight pay. It's the same reason that pensions and stock options are a bad idea...just give me my money up front and I'll do what I want with it.

And it would look terrible if ALPA argued against this. The optics would be very bad.

It would be the epitome of the stereotypical narcissistic, "got mine, want yours."
We don't need to be upset at this, certainly not publicly.

No, profit sharing is a set percentage of your income. Considering a large portion of the company very likely isn’t paid a six-figure+ income, the results of their percentage will be a smaller draw from the pot. Either way, ours should be smaller, but not 1/8 of what it was. Especially considering they already had a profit sharing program in place.
I’m curious to hear what ALPA’s response is.

Now a year later they all got PS restored and raises, so ALPA (if it were going to say anything) should say "thank you pilots for rejecting TA-15".

Upon further review.... it doesn’t look like this will effect our payout at all.
If all of the profits were given back to employees, then one group getting a higher percentage would reduce what everyone else got.
But it’s not 100% of the profits.
Delta used to give say 22% of profits to employees. Now it looks like 23% of all profits .... but our cut stays the same. (Made up percentages).
So no gloom and doom? No one loosing 10k?

Wow. So, in theory, you wanted to take their percentage of all the other employees profit sharing they lost and when they get it back, you say they are taking money from you? You are a real piece of work.
