Wait, so people are saying that the other employees got a 14.5% raise in exchange for reductions in profit sharing and you guys got a 18.5% raise and got to keep your profit sharing. YET, it's fair that they lose theirs because they "exchanged" it for rates? Now it's unfair because they are getting their original profit sharing back AND they still got a raise that was less than the pilots?

For the record, Im fine with them getting the same. I dont see how it happens without it affecting my bottom line. I can see why other pilotd would not want to give up pay to share with others.
We got a our raise because we are unionized and we negiotated it. Whyd they get theirs?
Oh yeah.
Why are you so worked up about it? People can have different opinions.

How about you donate a chunk of your pay to the local McDs workers so they can make more. You selfish?

But that isn’t the case.

If you think ALPA doesn't set the bar for raises and compensation for the entire company, then you are naïve. I could care less how other workgroups are compensated. But.... you're welcome.

The non-cons didn't exchange anything. Management unilaterally changed their compensation structure in an attempt to lessen PS expense. It backfired. Now, management has to reinstate it or risk a backlash on Feb. 14.

It's just math, that's how.
Right now your profit sharing is figured out based on the eligible wages of ALL employees, even though other employee groups don't actually get that share. It's used for mathematical purposes. With the change, the other employees will actually get that share...and because profit sharing is calculated excluding profit sharing expenses then your portion has no impact whatsoever.
In reality, this actually impacts your wallet in a positive way. How? Realistically Delta will either give a much smaller pay increase or no increase at all to other work groups...so with pilots getting a raise the amount of eligible pilot wages increases while other employee wages remain the same (or increase by a smaller percent).
