No.
DTW. 350 is 4 years. 330, 4 years.
Lax. 777, is 4-5 years.
NYC. 330 is 4 years.
Sea 330 is 3 years.

Above times are approximate.
I know cause I just missed on 350 last bid, and I’m at about 3.5 years. . Just like 320 Capt in NY a while ago.
But it’s ok. Happy where I am right now

I created that chart. I was bored, and it took a while to convert seniority #s to hire dates by category/base. Outside of NYC NBs, there hasn't been a lot of movement off the bottom of lists, so just add the time difference between that post and now.

You've got a lot of time on your hands, Saturn!

I was living the good life on reserve back then, lots of free-time. That was before this summer, seems like another life.

You mis-bid. Missed your chance. Dropped the ball. Had your eyes closed. Asleep at the wheel. It was October 2016 MOAB if I recall correctly - I was awarded ATL A320 Captain and I was hired in Q4 2000.

By the way, if you are a Delta pilot, your ALPA dashboard has this (seniority) info now too. It’s a pretty nice tool.

Don't dispair. You can make a lot more money being senior on the MD88/717 than being junior on the A320.

So if the goal is ATL as quick as possible, 717 and 73 in that order? Not counting 88. How long (approx) for new hires to hold a line in ATL 717? 73? Thank you.

As of now that is correct.

Hard to give you a definite timeline but easily within a year on the 717. 5 years ago it took me about 9 months to escape NYC. It could be as short as a month or two If you are on property at the right time with an AE dropping.
