There was a time several years ago that we would play car commercials at full volume after the safety video. Earplugs were the only way out. Lasted about 6 months.

Santa Claus was patterned after Saint Nicholas, a very real early Christian Bishop, who inherited wealth from his parents. He then, anonymously, threw bags of gold coins into open windows of families with poor children.

Was on a flight with IFE. Through 10, FA started on her rant. She released her mic 15 times, I counted, to take a breath or turn the page or whatever. So, I got to watch 30 seconds of my movie in choppy two second increments but wasn't fast enough to pause it before she started talking again. After it was finally over, less than 5 minutes later, CA America came on to tell us about the route he was taking, the cities we were flying over, the weather over the last 6 hours at our destination and what he had for dinner. 20 minutes later, he was back at it. I wasn't able to finish my 90 minute movie on a 1.8 block flight.
