Default Non Rev boarding issues

What's the best way to complain? I just came home from PHX and an S3 and an S3C were boarded in Comfort ahead of us. I have the info from the "Cleared list" Happened back in January and frankly, it happens most of the time I nonrev or DH. I walk back to coach and see empty Comfort seats at pushback.
Is an FCR appropriate or call the pass bureau, union, CPO?

You can FCR it but probably a better way is the travelnet survey

My biggest issue is with JS reservation, if you reserve the JS, there should be an automatic S3 check in. If there’s a seat you can choose if you want the seat or the JS. Sometimes the flight is full and some seats open at the end. I’ve been times seating in the JS while a regional pilot gets the last seat in comfort +.

Also, if the flight is delayed and you want to non-rev but the original departure time has passed, good luck trying to get the agent to list you.

I agree, its great we can book the jumpseat, but absolutely sucks that an OAL JS'er will get the last seat available before you do, making you ride up front instead of them. There really should be a way to include us as a Non-rev and assigned JS only if needed.

AA has this. When the JSeater checks in ONLINE!, he can choose what type of pass. When they are clearing the standby list, agent calls them and ask if they want seat or JS.

You can also see who’s a jumpseater in their standby list, even if they are not reserved in the JS.

yep! my fiancee is with AA and I use them to commute occasionally and you can see who's Flight Deck Jumpseat eligible or Cabin Jump eligible. Helps paint a picture of who's who.

The catch with the AA system is you can't actually reserve the jumpseat, meaning it just goes in seniority order based on who's checked in. Our system of knowing far in advance that you have basically a guaranteed seat is still much better.

Wrong.

AA can reserve jumpseat basically 8 days in advance. It’s then theirs, regardless of seniority. First come first serve.

Where you DH or non-rev? And Isn’t S3 our normal non-rev category?

I don't really have problem with that. I have a confirmed jumpseat and it ending up that someone else got on who wouldn't have if I had gone regular nonrev strikes me as a fair trade. I'll definitely take it over the UAL system where listing for the jumpseat lets you list in back but you can be bumped by anyone senior at any time before door closure.
