Does anyone use the Bose A20 on the A320? I realize the Airbus is much quieter than Boeing airplanes but I already have the A20 and absolutely love it...I would love to use it if I can.

What plug do you have? I’ve heard the 320 has the 5-pin plug for powered ANR, but they may also have the two-plug GA setup. Have only jumpseated in a 320 and the jump had only the two-plug GA setup. I have the 5-pin A20 for the ERJ-175, which I love. I just bought a 5-pin to GA adapter so I can use it in non-ERJ jumpseats.

If I were to consider a non-TSO headset, it would be the UFQ L2 "Hi-Lite." It's basically the form factor of a Clarity Aloft with the ANR of a Bose. Check eBay, though - they're cheaper there, and sometimes there's a "Make Offer" option where you can get it below list. I have some of their other headsets for GA flying and they're pretty impressive, especially considering the price. You can get it with a Boeing/GA, Helicopter, Lemo or Airbus plug. (But regardless, it needs 2 AA batteries for the ANR.)

I bought one of these, but haven't had a chance to fly with it yet. Out of the box, the build quality seems on-par with Clarity Aloft. The ANR seems impressive, too. (Tested with my wife's hair blower! ) Looking forward to trying it in flight. Will be so nice not having a headband over my head!

UFQ said they would pursue TSO certification for the L2, but I don't know if they'll have any better luck than UFlyMike. I'm not sure if UFlyMike's delay is company problem or an FAA/bureaucratic problem, or some combination thereof.

Unboxing/review video here.

Lightspeed Mach One’s. Best headset ever. No longer in production so you have to snag one off of eBay.

I decided that despite the considerable savings it wasn't worth the risk to buy a headset which could land me in hot water with my employer. I'm a pilot; which by definition means I love to save money, so I reall appreciate the concept of repurposing a quality headset that's gathering dust. But based off feedback from this thread and others, for whatever reason UFlyMike has a reputation of not delivering on their promises so I had to pass on their offering.

A320 has the 5 pin plug but no power to the 5th pin so you need batteries. ANR Headset of choice seems to be DC Pro-X. Seen some A20’s and a bunch of Bose with U-Fly setup. All seem to work good. I have the Pro-X and love it.

The ship sets.....Telex 750's. In my experience it's VERY rare to see someone bring their own.
