8,600 in one month? That’s approx 290 each day. Or if divided equally, 145 Capt and 145 FO each day. Which would be 30 Capt and 30 FO each day at the top 5 bases.

I think your rumored number is grossly in error by an order of magnitude.

Operationally Delta was a mess with lots of canceled flights across the network even after reducing scheduled flights by 2% Those statistics on canceled flights were how the company prevailed in court. The 3 judge panel ruled that even though the union did not start and in fact tried to get pilots to end the no GS campaign they had a duty to control their membership and big fines would follow. The same thing happened at American and APA was fined over 50 million dollars.
The 49er’s mentioned were not by the way just pilots harassing other pilots. I know one pilot personally who simply wrote one email to a friend asking him to only GSWC. It was nicely written without any harassing tone. That one email got him sued for 1 million dollars.
Probably depends on your category and base. I did not see the rolling GSWC where I was but it seems in MCO, where I think you were, it was a big thing. From my perspective it was not not nearly that dramatic. I will agree that it did have the potential to get worse and spread. It was nipped in the bud.

I counted 25 in NYC on the 19th. So while not 30 each seat, it's not an order of magnitude off.

But that extremely high number sustained every day in June? Still seems like way too high.

Actually 8,600 is lower than what it actually was. It's significantly more than we had last June.

Go to the DALPA webpage - Committees - Scheduling. The very first document is "Assignment Green Slips 201906." It has the complete breakdown by base/seat/aircraft. It also as monthly totals all the way back to 1990.

That will eventually get the companies attention when enough guys are POed and feel and act that way.

We aren’t there yet, and I hope we don’t get there...I enjoy going to work, I enjoy working for the best airline imho. I don’t want that to go sour, it s really up to the company to keep this machine rolling, I will be glad and happy to do as much as I can to keep this big machine oiled and rolling.....
...but there is a timeline. I hope management realizes this and doesn’t poop away the goodwill we have or our competitive edge and pax loyalty.
I have heard this every three years for the last 30 years. “”The pilot’s goodwill, etc., etc.” Don’t let yourself buy into the hype. Most people will still get strollers, if that is their thing, even if they don’t get a 3% raise any time soon. JMHO

I do agree it will probably drag out for much longer than average - for many reasons. If it goes on for three years I’d look internally at the MEC leadership before I’d look at the company. Management is constant across the years in that they will always want a deal that is reasonable with a counter party that is willing to negotiate. Start down the 40% raise path - and don’t stray left or right - it gets pretty slow and muddy.

Don't forget to that any time DALPA mentioned green slips that they are referring to the number of GS duty periods, not trips. It is the only consistent way to measure them.

So those numbers are probably accurate.

Important distinction that is lost on most if they've never looked at the GS reports.

The ALPA Greenslip/Assignment chart lists total number duty periods covered by Greenslip so one 4 day Greenslip would be 4 duties periods(for the most part). The total duty periods covered by Greenslip/Assignment for June was 8639, a company record. Sorry for the confusion

If I picked up a GS through ARCOS and then an hour later got an IA call that would conflict with that GS are they obligated to give me the conflict?

How do conflict IA's and GS's go out? Do they specifically have to say it's a conflict or is it still a standard IA/GS that you just know has a conflict?
