Seemed pretty definitive. Although I've already seen one retraction (from "arrested in the cockpit" to "arrested inside the airport").
That's not a small difference. I'm no lawyer, but that could mean the difference between just losing one's license and going to real jail.
At least the mugshot didn't have a pilot shirt in it (t shirt, I think).
What a tragedy for the pilot and his family.

Three. And I wouldn't want any of them near a flight deck. If his judgement is so poor that he can't make the decision not to report to work drunk then he needs a career change.

Even for a DUI, if someone can pick the person up so don’t think they keep people detailed long unless there is a death, etc. I could be wrong. Jails are already overcrowded

A few years ago I was in Jamaica at the Riu. This guy in the pool was hammered. A girl swims up to him and said “Hey you were our pilot today “. That should have been his cue to stop drinking and go to his room but nope! The CA came down to the lobby a few hours later and told him it was time to go to his room after he fell down and yes it was Delta I asked her.

No one wakes up one morning and decides they’re going to be an alcoholic. Pilots aren’t immune to the same diseases as the rest of the population.
I hope there is still time for rehab and reconciliation for this pilot who I know is a good and decent man. It appears he is struggling and in the fight for his life.
Nothing in aviation is more sacred than the public trust and I am thankful that the system worked and the brake was never released. I hope the rest of the system becomes available to him now.
