I have a pretty good idea how to avoid the 6 day trips, is there anything you can do to avoid the 3 day trips? I play that game on the NB side and I end up with a much better schedule than one would expect at my seniority but since they can break the trips up into tiny pieces I still do some flying.

It all boils down to green slips. I'm on the 330 and moving to NB-A would only be a 6%-15% raise depending what plane I went to. I'm easily out earning any NB-A who doesn't fly green slips. I've never worked so little. It feels like a part time job and I constantly hear about it from my girlfriend about how I never work
I’m contemplating the move back to WB B from NB A but my guess is it’s going to cost me $100k a year. Still, all that time off is mighty appealing.

Historically, WB B in-base reserve has been known as the place to be for time off. For those in the know (and willing to share), is this holding true, and is your guess that it will continue for the foreseeable future? From the outside looking in, it's hard to tell if the productivity efforts being exercised in the NB world have WB parallels eroding that QOL too.

I think one of the best ways to check the working smarter not harder is by figuring out your "effective" hourly rate. How many hours blocked vs gross pay on your paycheck. I am sure there are WB Bs who are making north of $800/hr playing the reserve GS game.
