Default Anyway We can demand flow back?

I was hoping since looks like furloughs maybe we can force the feed regionals to flow us back so we have employment?
thoughts?

They won’t do it. They want to flow up, but don’t want flow back provisions.

Honestly, we should be trying to get RJs to mainline. We have payscales and the people to do it.

But, they rather keep the cheap workforce (RJ pilots, FAs, etc), than have us flying those planes.

There are no flowback provisions within your or any of your regional feeds pwas. Two different contracts, two different pilot groups. Nice sense of entitlement though

We had that with Compass....we don't have that anymore....don't see it happening again.

True. However there is a prettybig carrot now with the 35 large RJ's that are permanently pulled. Maybe a carrier would agree to that, maybe not. They could be whipsawed with not only the 35 but a lot more dangled out there to whoever may take it. It could also simply be imposed on a non union carrier by uts management, however it would more likely be brought to them for a non binding vote first (deal me an ace 2.0) but most likely, if DL really wants those jets in the future (they're parked at the moment anyway, along with a lot more than that as we all know) then a NEWCO 2.0 could easily be started. Lots of dormant certificates floating around, and new ones aren't that hard to spool up either. Yet another option would be to simply put them on the mainline.

Their dates-of-hire at the other airline was prior to the payout, and in the case of 4-5 of them, they were no longer in the Reserves. I had been in a squadron with one of them prior to 9/11, and heard all of the details from him at a reunion. Not sure how it turned out for the others, but he had to pay the money back.

Maybe that's the basis for the story?

Ahh. Always two sides to a story. I remember at Purple we had sort of a come clean amnesty period with respect to folks really resigning from other carriers. There was a date by which you had to tell ALPA or something and they could protect you. I don’t remember the exact timeframe but I do remember it being way after we had hired the bulk off furloughed guys and thinking why now? So that probably fits the timeline you mentioned. I also remember them making a fuss about folks receiving any kind of a payout from a previous employer and not really knowing what they were talking about.

Perhaps this is what they were referring to:
2017 USERRA Class Action Lawsuit vs Delta Air Lines.

Read about it here:
