I'm a narrow body FO that's gone NQ for lack of currency. I actually turned into a pumpkin back in August and filled out the availability form on icrew back then. I'm on reserve this month and all my long call days have been coded "NQ" and I no longer show on the reserve availability list. My question is what's my responsibility for contact? At some point they're gonna send me to a RECY sim, but how much notification do they have to give me? Is it still a 12 hour leash if I'm not technically on long call? On a related note, I saw something somewhere that if it's been more than 180 days you get two OE legs with a LCP. I'm over 180 days since I flew, but I had CQ in May, so does that count?

I looked in training and scheduling in the PWA, but can't find anything. Figured I'd ask here before I call ALPA since I don't know if this falls under scheduling or training.

Appreciate anyone with any knowledge to chime in.

I went non-current and my currency sim popped up on I-crew with about 10 days notice. I don't know the minimum lead time but just keep checking I-crew every morning and you should be fine.

I was told by the CPO training notice is a minimum of 10 days per the contract. I didn’t bother to check and just took his word. My initial qual was posted only hours before the November bids closed but isn’t until mid month. There may be a notification requirement for this because the voicemail left started with “it’s xx:xx EST...”

Appreciate the info. I spoke to one of the ALPA training volunteers, and he said the handshake deal is no less than 48 hours notice. He also said that "NQ" puts you into a status like a new hire, where they can put the training on any day, regardless of X days, vacation, etc. I couldn't really find any direct reference to anything other than exactly what comprises a RECY sim in the DIG, so I guess we'll see what happens. I turned into a pumpkin in August and the paycheck still clears, so it definitely could be worse...

I picked up a recovery trip. Can I swap with the pot to get another one and keep the credit? Original trio is a 5 day have a 3 day. Looking at another 3 day instead.
would i put it in as a regular swap.

No, you can't swap with the pot and keep the 5 day trip credit. Once you swap with the pot your recovery trip, you give up the original trips credit.

I had the same thing happen. 5 day changed to a 3 day. So tempted to swap to a better 3 day but wanted the 5 days of pay.

Does a transition trip into the next month that has been shortened (less credit/block with the new bid package out) still get the full spill-in credit the following month?

No. Spillover trips aren't worth bidding.

Thats not solid advice at all. They have the chance of switching but spillover trips have some nice advantages, especially in holiday or vacation months. They can definitely bite you but they are also definitely worth bidding sometimes.

Until you get one that ends on July 3rd and company extends it to July 4th and it's impossible to get rid of.
