The May Crew Resources Monthly Update is out in Aero Docs. Next AE should come out later in the month. Ridiculously high overstaffed numbers listed.

Only 7500 pilots. I saw the article as more propaganda than actually useful.

Yeah. They placed a lot of emphasis on TLV / ALV as the solution.

The problem is other companies including the ULCCs have offered SILs. We are lagging in this area and every month that goes by we lose on potential savings. I fear after May we will have no takers on a June SIL because when they see 150-200 guys on reserve in one category getting paid to do nothing, why take an SIL for 20 less hours?

I'll take it. Small kids at home, and don't want to put granny nanny at risk. I'll trade 20 hours for the peace of mind not getting called into work. That being said, 1/3 of the way into April, and I haven't even gotten close to being called in for a trip or short call.

Does this mean we won’t be trying to define what “out of seniority” means with the upcoming AE/displacements?

So, new term that new hires might not understand....”stovepipe”. As things move backwards, that’s what the categories morph towards.

I posted previously, at UAL they offered a second round of SIL’s for May. In SFO 777 category, they wanted 343 pilots between CA and FO to take the SIL’s. They got a grand total of 1 taker. I also understand on the 75/76 they had zero takers. Part of the reason was as you suggested...the other reason is the offer was sub standard.

Is it united that has the eSRL? It’s some hours up front but some paid our later? I can’t remember if it’s UAL or AA offering that. No f-ing way would I take that for later payment.
