I don't follow Fauci closely myself, but a in a recent clip of him speaking he said (I paraphrase) that his expertise was public health and he'd let other experts address the economics et al. I'm not sure if that messaging is new, but it sounds like healthy lane-adherance to me. As far as I know, he's but one advisor serving at the pleasure of the president.
Still don't see the leap to scum. I know some scum, and in my experience it hasn't looked like Dr. Fauci.

That was my only question... why go there? Why have we normalized that type of dehumanization? During any given administration, at least a third of the nation thinks the powers that be aren't doing what's in the best interest of the nation - often its 50%. Does that make the lever pullers scum?

It will be awesome watching the false entitlement of empty rows for super saver fares result in howls of teeth gnashing, twitter finger activating dissapointment, time and time again. That nonsense existed before all this in record profits, and now even some congresscreeps with massive dellusions of grandeur (even massiver than usual LOL!) are attempting to secure this new fake right for the poople. Vote for me and get more room on flights, guaranteed!
Did your airline negligently expose you to WuFlu? Did you get COVID from going grocery shopping EVERY DAY? What about your 2x daily trips to the big orange box? Call 1-800-EFF-THEM, we have attorneys standing by nights and weekends.
What do you call 1,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?

Always.
However, they failed to stress the probability of death due to age/underlying conditions. One MD mentioned: "If you think you're immune because you're young ... we have 20-somethings, 30-somethings ... coming into the ER with this."
Yes, she is correct. But where's the perspective? What are the odds?
Also, they asked the question: "Are we ready to walk around with passports on our smartphones to gain access to buildings in the US?"
The answer to that one should be obvious.
And I'm a life-long fan of NOVA.

I enjoy Nova and similar OBS shows because they don’t generally give line-in-the sand opinions. Instead they make you consider scenarios and perspectives that may be out of one’s current purview, including my own.
