Disingenuous is right. To add to that, not a single one is on Delta property, nor will be for 3.5 years after having the hours for an R-ATP (or going to UPT via Guard), and even then only if you graduated from one of about a dozen ‘partner’ Universities Flight programs 500-700 hours short of R-ATP mins.

All that said, since there won’t be hiring for years, I’m not sure Propel will have much of an impact on any regional hopefuls chances. It may prove a relic of the pre-Covid era.

I agree to all you’ve said but also suggest the selected Propel students who didn’t make it to a regional before they stopped hiring are looking at much longer than the 3.5 year timeline. This is exactly why they are given a QJO with absolutely no strings attached for them or Delta.

I’ve been wondering like you if Propel survives the consequences of the virus. Right now as I see it it only will if we don’t have enough takers for the early out program and we see a faster than expected recovery. All that goes out the window if Delta decides to stay smaller for the a long time as well. Overall the point is Propel could end up proving to not be such a good advantage after all. That’s a shame because it was incredibly well received by the partner schools and students.

yeah, you didn’t feel like including the details because they undermine your point.

Speaking of 2558, I dimly remember some aviation history where there was a merger, or a furlough, or some other kind of unpleasantness that resulted in a "Save Dave" campaign. "Dave" being the first name of the pilot who was clawing onto the bottom of the list for dear life.

Anyone figured out who "Dave" is at Big-D yet? Moving target with the EOP and all. Just curious. Guess all will be revealed in the fullness of furlough time.

SWA already has a #keepdean campaign with bag tags, swag, etc for sale (goes to charity).

According to the latest MEC letter, they're committed to Delta pilots footing the bill for any furloughed pilots COBRA fees. This, via a special assessment. It will require a vote from the membership.

Wiki-google-pedia suggests this will be about 18 months worth of bennies.

FWIW, 100% back this one.

If they go through with this furlough will this be the largest number/ percentage of the seniority list that Delta has furloughed?
