Considering the LOA was published less than a half hour after this was announce that would be a big yes!

Scope at JB prevented mgmt from entering or renewing any codeshare agreements, so they needed relief. It came with job protections, which was the purpose of that section.

The LOA (JB) reduces RSV MMG from 75 to 70 hours but gives reserves 2 additional days off. Lineholder MMG stays at 70 and ALV restrictions are temporarily lifted. Lineholders can now drop as low as zero hours and keep the difference between their award and the 70 hr MMG.

Isn't it crazy how people who flew white slips and greenslips routinely think that reset their pay to a 90to 110 hour alv so a reduction to say 65hours is a 45 hour cut to them.. same who lived outside their means, didnt bank any of that overtime now want to be greedy again and screwing fellow pilots put the door. Nice

They also took scope concessions for the codeshare.

For clarification. The LOA allows for JB to add AA as codeshare and renew any existing codeshare (as long as there are no substantive changes). That's it. And after end of April 2021 or upon reaching 78532 block hrs (incase we recovery quicker than expected), whichever occurs first, everything rolls back to how it was before.

Section 1/Scope was not modified. A one-time exception was granted which will serve to increase JB flying.

The only "concession" I see was 5 hours off reserve guarantee for seven months or less (in exchange for two extra days off). Full furlough pay for Covid-19 (not the reduced "act of god" furlough pay) was codified, and a minor scope item regarding maintenance ferry flights was tightened up.

If you guys think this won’t go back to negotiations in March/April next year...are very naive. JetBlue needs the international connections and AA needs the cheaper lift.

AA will be furloughing pilots, I’m sure they will fight it tooth and nails.

I don't believe the codeshare will end after April. The LOA is to make a one time exception to add AA. So however long the codeshare agreement is, that's how long it is. Would be silly to do all this adjustment just for 7 months. Flights will be added at both airlines just to spool it back down after 7 months? Unless I missed what you meant by going back to negotiating.

Here's a link to what can be expected
