pay difference for what?

EDIT if you are asking what SLIs make. It’s 5 hrs per event (min guarantee 85 hrs 17 days of work) at whatever pay rate you can hold IN YOUR SEAT.

If what you can hold in your seat changes, does your rate change?

Im not positive but I believe yes, as soon as anyone jr to you converts to a higher paying position, your pay goes up. Conversely as soon as you can no longer hold a position, your pay goes down. At least that’s how I read the contract.

I’ve been told if you can hold any CA seat, you would get 350 FO pay as an FO instructor, even if you can’t hold the 350 FO.

right now the JR CA is a 3/16 hire while the JR 350 FO is a 7/14 hire

Yep, looks like it’s closed. They’re accepting applications for Line Validation Pilots though if you’re interested in that.

Is there any financial or scheduling flexibility advantage to being an LVP, or do guys just do it because they like it? LVP’s basically just go with unqualified guys on their first trip into a special qual airport, right?

You would think after almost six years here I would have a better idea of what an LVP actually does.

Search the PWA for Line Validation Pilot and LVP. They get the same pay and scheduling benefits as LCA, among other things.
