JetBlue has not taken a government loan (*yet).

If I were in their shoes, I’d happily give up an extra month or two of UNA if it meant being reinstated in a category that I’d want to be in (higher pay and/or no commute) for the next 2-3 years while this mess sorts itself out. As it stands now, those UNAs not awarded a reinstatement and not being furloughed will likely get a NB to NYC assigned in Oct.

Gotcha....that is kinda what I thought. So for some could be good, some could be bad. Seems a rebid woulda been bestest and fairer BTW....I don't think it was intentional pilot poking( not much to be gained by intentionally pizzing off pilots), just ineptness. They shoulda just eaten the short term training costs associated with their blunder in the interest of fairness

is that still true?
No. They are manning the airline for 40%ish pre-cv bookings summer 2021. Think it was a JL skynet blurb or some such.info source that came out after the VEOP rescind date but before the AE.

Yes, the company said we'd be excluded, but they can't lock you out of AE bidding in icrew and given the extreme unpredictability of the company over the past 6 months to me it just made sense to have something sitting there just in case. Except the AE said they weren’t eligible. So the company mislead and then failed to correct. Yeah what were you thinking... a company communication was actually factual? New and enthusiastic junior pilots getting furloughed are too trusting, where’s the cynicism of being screwed over? You should have known better!

9450 active pilots is about 73% of last summer. That's slightly down from their MOAD number of 78%.

9450 was predicted for March 2021. March is not summer so I take issue with those being used as summer requirements.

I think you mean down 40% from pre covid.. I watched that too. He said down 20% to now 40% and everywhere in between.

The original plan was 50% by the end of 2020 then 80% through 2021.

That morphed to down to 60-80% through 2021 since bookings are down from their original thought process that would get them to that 80%.

We will lose about 15% from the VEOP and mandatory retirements through 2021 and the proposed furlough number through 2021 is another ~13%.
