Yes it’s comical this whole seat blocking theory. NO the problem isn’t a lack of seats as you seem to allude to. We can block the middle seats because there is nobody to sit in them anyway. We also have 250 planes parked that we can fly again if people actually come back and we still want those seats blocked. I do agree about one thing in your post. The way air travel is being handled is a joke(not ALPA's fault). They wont sell seats because of spacing, but you have people all around you less than 6 feet apart. The person in front of you is usually one or two feet away. Open the planes up, and if people choose to fly, let them do it.
