Yes it’s comical this whole seat blocking theory. NO the problem isn’t a lack of seats as you seem to allude to. We can block the middle seats because there is nobody to sit in them anyway. We also have 250 planes parked that we can fly again if people actually come back and we still want those seats blocked. Real problem is governments not allowing people freedom to choose for themselves.

Yeah... considering the respectability ALPA holds industry wide this would be a great way to burn every bit of credibility. Imagine if we went into the MAX saga saying either “it’s totally fine guys just keep flying on it, it probably won’t happen to you!” or “DON’T FLY WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!1!”. National does a very good job on the issues, and I’m proud to support the PAC.

I have not been on these forums in years. I do not know if a thread about this already exists. However, I am here to tell you that ALPA has failed us at Delta. Have you noticed that all they do is send out emails concerning "how to be furloughed" as many folks stand to lose their job? When are people going to stand up and call this out as the hoax it really is? I am amazed that people are not screaming bloody murder as we continue to pander to this political exercise to squash the economy. ALPA has our dues money and significant resources yet they continue to move along like this hoax is really a reason not to fly in our planes. Guys, we have nothing left to lose. Our airplanes are at 10% capacity and we are slashing 1/3 of our seniority list (for now, probably more!). When is ALPA going to stand up for it's pilots and call out this ridiculous hoax? Have you read about anyone getting Covid on planes? It only happens if the leftist media says it's happening. Is it because they are focused more on the election and the airlines have already been crushed, or is there actually no problem here? You be the judge. Require our union to stand up for our jobs!
Somebody's MAGA hat is a little too tight. It appears blood-flow to his head was cut off.

I do agree about one thing in your post. The way air travel is being handled is a joke(not ALPA's fault). They wont sell seats because of spacing, but you have people all around you less than 6 feet apart. The person in front of you is usually one or two feet away. Open the planes up, and if people choose to fly, let them do it.

Yet the seat blocking policy seems to be working well for us. I was a big critic initially but Delta is getting strong positive reviews and now carries over 30% of all domestic businesses travelers. We have far more pricing power than our competitors. My family has been buying a lot of tickets lately and Delta has been the most expensive option every time often by a large margin. In some cases double what American is asking. Frontier is basically letting people fly for free! It appears management is making the right choices with seat blocking.

I feel like ALPAs communication could be better. I dont have time to watch all the townhalls, read every memo, track this that and that. More rapid and bulleted pointed summaries of what is going on would be appreciated.
