I have been searching to try and locate the passenger counts from 2010,2011,2012 to see just where the pilot count/profitability lines cross with respect to passenger counts. So far I have not been able to find any pax counts prior to 2016.

This does not even include the fact that Delta had a dramatically lower cost structure in 2011. Do you want to work for 2011 wages? Delta’s total pilot costs per block hour without profit sharing were 752 an hour in 2011 and 1237 in 2019.

The problem you have is that even if passenger counts return to 2011 numbers the yields will not. The infrastructure within the airline industry will be to large with to many seats chasing those passengers. It would take one of the big 4 liquidating along with a ULCC or two going away.

Where’s the reference for those costs? Also, $1237 would be $1058 in 2011.

I still get a paycheck and on the ACH deposit it says "Delta Air Lines..."
At least by taking a VEOP I have done more to help my fellow delta pilots than Jules ever will. I suspected that he was an EDV employee.
As for me, yes, I am not active DAL pilot anymore because I made a decision based on my situation and the belief it would help out a Delta Pilot junior to me. Which is far more than you can say about Jules, or yourself.

You got angst, go talk to him about his inputs to an airline and pilot group he is not associated to.

Yours is the attitude that is toxic to an organizations culture. I surely hope that your bravado in these baseless, tasteless comments is not indicative of your actual personality. Somehow, I doubt it.

I think there are probably 599ish other pilots that would disagree with you and actually say thanks for the assist. I still had several years left before 65. Rather than be selfish, I took a deal that would potentially help. Unlike yourself who is content to spew filth rather then consider some of us actually give a damn about those junior to us. I put my earnings where my mouth was; would you?
