Sorry, trials. My bad. Here's rickair's post:

Still not approved by FDA.
You go on and take it though when it is. Report back what it did to you. I'll quit my job before I put that M-RNA junk in me. Especially for cold bug with like a 99.97% survival rate for people < 75yrs old

Anyway, I don't think, at least ATM, it will be mandated. Hopefully they take the flu vaccine approach.
I don't mind Yellow Fever mandate. It is a proven vaccine, been around forever. I got it twice in the military (its good for 10 yrs I think). Plus once so far at DAL.

To answer your question, no. These vaccines as described from the companies and CEO’s do not reduce transmissibility nor do they decrease your probability of infection. All they do is lesson the likelyhood of mild to severe symptoms once you are “infected”. It’s also one of numerous reasons why it makes no sense to mandate them.
“Second, Moderna and Pfizer acknowledge their vaccines appear to induce side effects that are similar to the symptoms of mild Covid-19. In Pfizer’s early phase trial, more than half of the vaccinated participants experienced headache, muscle pain and chills.
If the vaccines ultimately provide no benefit beyond a reduced risk of mild Covid-19, they could end up causing more discomfort than they prevent.”

And just to point out, the article is an opinion piece and OBE by latest vaccine info.

Now, thru the rumor mill, I’ve heard the FAA will require a 14 day self quarantine after each shot. If that’s the case, I sure hope something can be negotiated for pay protection....

I am being a bit absurd of course, to illustrate the absurdity of a, new, as yet unproven, vaccine. Did you know they store it at like -80C? That's crazy.

The Pfizer vaccine requires the super cool storage temps. The Moderna vaccine lasts for over a month in the refrigerator and a week at room temperature. I bought MRNA stock at $75, a few months ago and Was worried that Pfizer was going to beat them to the table. While there is a market for multiple manufacturers, the easier a vaccine is to transport, the more likely the demand will be worldwide. I just hope they have the manufacturing capability, because when the US government was prepaying for vaccine doses, Moderna wasn’t one of the companies that received government cheese.
