I've flown both, barring wild swings in relative seniority...comfort matters.
737
Cockpit comfort....LOLOLOLOL!
No tray table.
Seat goes back or leans back, not both.
Overhead panel...it hurts and will draw blood.
Baggage storage....LOL! Have fun snagging it from behind first class on that last leg on a 900.
Body contortions are need to get into/out of the seat.
Over 5 foot 5? No standing up in the cockpit....if there is a jumpseater, forget about it. They'll need a cigarette after you reach back to tear paper off the printer.
Hand flying...slight edge to the 737. But I don't work here to have fun hand flying...for that I fly tailwheel.
FMS is intuitive.
Bus
Cockpit comfort...Winner!
Tray table.
Seat goes back, leans back and you can even dial up your favorite setting.
Overhead panel isn't trying to kill you.
Getting into the seat doesn't require acrobatics.
2 jumpseaters and their luggage is no problem up front.
Need to stretch on a long leg...no problem.
Hand flying...don't really care, but then again my entire military career was spent flying a fly-by-wire jet, so it's normal to me.
FMS...well, lets just say someone special made that. I still hunt and peck around after 3 years on the bus.

The "bag destroyer" ridge that will rip the Captains bag if it is laid down flat - you know the way everyone stores their bag.
Sun shades that seem like they were designed as a 2nd grade school project.
Mostly two choices of temperature - Arctic blast or thermal runaway. Well maybe its not that bad, but pretty close.
Boeing's motto for the 737 should be: The 737 by Boeing - because we stopped trying!
I know, I know, Pilots don't buy planes and the 737 is very reliable and cost effective but really C'mon Boeing some of this stuff is downright embarrassing. You can easily see how this corporate mentality would lead to the "MAX."

Depends what matters to you. Bus is a better cockpit, there is no comparison. You’ll learn the FMS eventually, but you’ll always enjoy the space, comfort, and the ability to hear. It does somewhat appear the future of Delta is bus, so why not learn French now.
I can live with the 73 shortcomings in exchange for the better seniority and pay. I realize the seniority can change, as can the trip mix. May have to reevaluate in time.
I came off the 88 so the 73 was a pretty clear step up.

One thing that will help the company bring people back and the potential AE waterfall is no 777 and no M88. That will help with some training churn and I can see it possible in 2022 to carry 90% of passengers with maybe 85% of the pilots due to to bigger planes and some better efficiency built in.
I still don’t see how they can get there unless they start upping the AE game quickly.

Bus- Tray table and you have to press like ten buttons on the preflight before looking out the window and thinking about how cool you are. You have not begun to wonder "what the hell is this thing doing now?" until you've done it in an Airbus.
737-You get to flip a lot of switches and see the giant trim wheel spinning--real pilot stuff. If you like eating off the book, you're in luck. Oh and the hearing loss is guaranteed to save your marriage.
At the end of the day, either one is fine. You won't know which is the best choice until the company goes all in on the NEO or the MAX.

The 73 has hot mics in the overwhelming majority of airplanes so just noise canceling Bose or David Clark you you are good to go.
Delta Management has stated multiple times it to not in the best financial interests of the Enterprise to be reliant on a single manufacturer. Post COVID-19 once Delta returns to sustainable positive cash flow I expect the arrival of the 737 MAX and once normal international traffic resumes the 787-9 or 10

Semi new to the hot mic over the last 6 months on the 73. On a long leg how is everyone else dealing with listening to the other guy/girl crushing a bag of chips and a couple packs of gum? I click off the hot mic and turn down the inter phone until they get the hint. Is it just me but I don’t want to hear EVERYTHING. #bringbackthedog

Simply an awesome airplane. I've flown some great jets: F-16, F-22, F-15. But so far as airliners go, the 757 is the shizzle. Hands down.
