Be sure to sign up for the NEPP (Northeast Parking Program.) Up to $200 reimbursement per month for travel to/from LGA/EWR rotations if you give up parking privileges there. Check with the CPO, info found on DNet, NYC welcome info. JFK isn’t included in the deal as Delta owns the lot. If you’re staying in Kew Gardens, Voyager/Kew cab runs $12 each way to JFK or a shared van runs $5.75 plus $1 cash tip that leaves on the hour from Metro/Lefferts or slum it on the Q10 Limited to Lefferts air train station for $2.75. Uber/Lyft from Kew to EWR runs $100-$120 each way so the NEPP makes an occasional rotation/GS worth the trouble. I keep a nice pad in the area for $270/mo.

Maybe if all commuters got the parking badge for their base(even though it would not be used and a TOTAL waste), it would change without using negotiating capital. No pain for the pilot...only pain(expense) for the company....NOW...that's leverage

Crashpad Oasis info
Crashpad Oasis is a nightly place next to Jamaica hospital, $65 a night cash. There's one in Howard Beach built to be a crashpad run by a flight attendant. PM me if you want details
responding this post, looking for info regarding Crashpad Oasis, opinions of it and is it worth staying at. Had been staying at hotels until prices got ridiculous post-Covid. TYIA, Rich

I wish ALL bases would get something like this......Oh, I know, I know..."Commuting is a choice"!

I get aggravated with our parking. I commute out of a flight attendant base. I have to pay for employee parking out of pocket, then submit for reimbursement. I don't understand why the company can't just pay directly like they do for the flight attendants. Makes no sense.
