Are we ever going to award a new hire an ER base other than NYC or just keep putting everyone in NYC while the other 3 bases are running on no supply. Oh well I guess, I got 4 GS'S last month with Christmas off at 90% and I saw NYC folks getting OOBGS W/conflict. What a time....

Turns out it was awesome time. I really enjoyed the -88. It was my first major airline "big jet" so it will probably always hold a sentimental place (right next to the F-16).
I stayed on it to almost the bitter end.
No matter the airplane or base, you'll have some fun here. We're all in this together. Sure, you will run across the rare and occasional extend/fatigue shamer, but they are a very very rare exception in our group.
So enjoy whatever plane/base you get. Learn from your captains. Get the feel for the flow of this operation.
The nice thing about DAL, we still have a large variety of fleet types, bases and flying (Int'l vs domestic) to choose from.

I got my last choice -88, due to blazingly low last 4.

This is the most positive post I have ever seen from you. It’s refreshing.
