I routinely fly 5+ hours legs on 737 and have no problems at all. 6” tall and 175. Trips on 737 are much better than 320 if you like longer flights. That could change as NEO’s come online though.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered…
If assigned a non desirable base initially, how long before I could hold a base I want, or when can you be awarded another bid? I would only want ATL as a base. What would my last four of the social have to be and what aircraft to bid on? Thanks guys/gals

you can transfer bases on the same aircraft type as soon as the first bid (AE) after you start class. It may take a few months after that to actually become effective, but as long as you aren’t on the 220, you should get to ATL fairly quickly

Too many variables in that question. Seems like there is a bid every quarter, give or take. There doesn't have to be though. Usual conversion deadline is 7 months but it can also be a year. You could end up at an undesirable base for about a year or so. Could also probably get ATL out of the gate. 717 to ATL probably goes pretty junior in the class. Depends on the class. Depends on the drop. Depends on your SSN. Depends.

The length of time in the seat isn't bad, it's more just getting in and out of it that can be challenging. I'm very average height and weight and i still hit my head once in a while or have my foot slip as I'm trying to pivot my other leg around to sit down.

The front of the fuselage is just too narrow. The front galley feels like a clown car compared to the one on the bus.

Holy smokes. Can NYC320 get some love. They are showing everyone currently NYC320B to be above 50% seniority by September. Where is the other 50% coming from!?!?

I'm hoping for a few cockpit yoga eBrief videos.

Listen, sometimes us lowly NB folks like to think positively. It’s rare there’s a time for that. If someone wants to brag about 9:02 of “comfort” let them have it with out bragging about a bunk for 3.5 extra hours of flying. We’re lowly and accustomed to nothing good except for 30 hour JAN overnights, so just leave us be and try not to stomp on us.
