If you can stomach EWR at 5am, you’ll have your pick of trips. Those ones always go uncovered on the B side. I have a friend in PA who has zero issue swapping into EWR trips on the 737. Lots of PA commuters here, shouldn’t be an issue getting you some EWR stuff at all.

DTW has been a semi junior base in the past but due to a combination of the ER going away, CVG closing and the base not being built back up post COVID as fast as other bases the right seat is more senior on average than it has been in the past. No telling how or if that changes in the near future.

Too many variables in that question. Seems like there is a bid every quarter, give or take. There doesn't have to be though. Usual conversion deadline is 7 months but it can also be a year. You could end up at an undesirable base for about a year or so. Could also probably get ATL out of the gate. 717 to ATL probably goes pretty junior in the class. Depends on the class. Depends on the drop. Depends on your SSN. Depends.
SSN approximately 7500 be enough to get me ATL? . Seriously tho, I live in ATL now and just cannot leave my family again and commute, especially for a year… any and all advice are much appreciated as I weigh the opportunity.

Impossible to know what will be available to your class. It could have ATL in it, it could not. Bids happen about 3-4 ish times a year, the conversions generally happen with in 210 days to a year after the bid closes. If you can't get ATL right away then I'd bid a NB airplane that can get you back to atl as soon as a bid comes up.

If ATL is in the drop, 765X probably would hold it. If not, I would expect to get it in the first AE (vacancy bid) after hiring. Conversions for base-only changes typically happen early in the window. No guarantees thiugh. Good luck.

My understanding is the company can only offer new hires a position if there are leftover positions from an AE bid. Did NYC765B really have leftover unbid openings???
