Its always assumed the pilot with lower seniority will get far fewer greenslips. That’s more often than not incorrect. When greenslips are moving I often see every day GS 2, 3, or 4 being awarded. The other point about the higher pay rate is you can simply fly less and enjoy the QOL preached about on here.

As a reserve? Unlimited, because it actually increases your QOL and time off. Especially if you do it right.

However, if you manage to get even one (say 5-day) and then get 5 PB days, I suppose that's a win. You could wind up with 100 hours of pay while flying 10-12 days.

If it's rolling thunder you're talking about: The stars have to align: You have to be senior enough to get multiple GS's, and senior enough to get them early in the month. The category has to be short-staffed.

you need positive reserve coverage to use banked PB days, something my category has not had in months
