It all varies. Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. No way to predict the drop.

As others have said, the drops vary by class. That said, even if you don't get what you wanted you can always bid in the AE (the equipment and base transfer bids done every few months) and probably get it if you're on a narrowbody fleet.

Did any numbers get posted for how many unbid spots there were in each category in May? I dont remember seeing it in the results document on Deltanet. ATL 73N has been conspicuously absent for several weeks.

I was trying to see when CR runs out of unbid NYC spots. There are still a lot of unfilled vacancies from the latest AE in DTW so it's absolutely possible. It seems like more classes than not have had dtw available lately too. Unfortunately other than NYC there are no guarantees week to week though. The good news is that we're supposed to have another AE in August so if you're in class when that comes out you can bid dtw if you don't get it in your class drop.
