New Hire Class Drops

Spitfire is great and I got a CJO last month but they are very very backed up and busy. Each “get reps” session you only rep 2 questions. Emerald coast you get more reps per session. Spitfire will absolutely get you ready but I had trouble scheduling things. They need to add more supply for their demand.

I recommend Raven. I used them for some M&G prep and I really like them. 1:1 with availability, but pricey.
Sorry if already spoken to: I have a M&G with Delta at Women in Aviation. Are they planning on running classes after the summer?
Thanks

Totally agree. I used both RST Delta and EC. The good thing about Emerald Coast was the multiple mock interviews they did every day, vs the once per week that RST did. And, IMO that's the most crucial part, getting those interview question reps in. Granted, this was back in 2023, but I can't imagine it has changed much. If I had to do it again and only use one, I think I'd use EC just due to the sheer opportunities to get the mock interview reps in.

For those with CJO's and class dates in late February or March, there was an Advance Entitlement (AE) bid just released, and it's absolutely huge on the NB FO vacancies, which is a harbinger of large NH's classes coming, and also very likely larger hiring targets for the year.
As a reminder, NH's can only be offered unbid vacancies for those already on property. So, anything that goes unfilled on this AE will be offered to NH's until the next AE generates new 'slots'. As a result of what is likely to go unbid, there will be a huge number of NH's awarded both the 320 and 73N, most especially DTW 320, and also ATL 73/320. There may be some 73 offerings in every base. Relatively fewer vacancies posted in the 7ER, but NYC has about 2:1 over LAX - some of both with likely be offered to NH's. The 717 has a similar number as the 7ER, roughly evenly split between ATL and DTW. The 220 is mostly MSP which has about 2:1 over NYC.
It's been said, but bears repeating. Especially with lots of hiring clearly coming, there will be lots of opportunities to change bases on your original equipment. No guarantees ever, but if you really want the 320, for example, but don't want DTW or ATL, don't be afraid to preference it anyway. You will have a very good chance to change bases quickly, even without any posted vacancies. maybe even before you are done with training. There are almost always awards to bases without any posted vacancies due to backfills of people upgrading or switching out of a base. Bid What You Want, but Want What You Bid (BWYWWWYB).
Good luck to all. Exciting times.

Thank you for the info! I’m in the March 10th class and fingers are crossed for the Bus in DTW.
When do new hires bid for equipment/base? (Sorry if I missed this in the thread)
