One can only hope. You are either proactive and win your share of battles, or reactive and lose more often than not.

That's a good start. We need to win this at any cost.

Hold on… wait…. R. Hayes (JB CEO) just wants the bragging rights, “Hey look at me I put JB in Europe”. At the same time he’s in bed with AA thinking it was the best deal since sliced bread (North East Agreement).. Meanwhile as he’s bleeding JB to death on this dumb arse Europe trip… AA sneaks through the back door and swoops up what remains of JB. There is a total disconnect with senior JB leadership and reality, they actually believe they got the better deal with AA, yet they failed to read and comprehend the small print in the deal they inked with AA. When you deal with AA holdings etc your dealing with (lack of a better term)the devil, (To my fellow AA aviators this is not aimed at you, simply your senior leadership).
Every time the government gives out money there’s consolidation etc.. then again the tall glass of JW blue I’ve been sipping on is talking and this is all just BS.. I give it 10-12 months and it’s a done deal. FYI…the Europe venture load factors for JB are 35-50% yea that’ll last long. God I hope I’m wrong.

12 months for what deal? Are you predicting they will buy/merge with JB? That seems like it would become a trust busting feedng frenzy at least in NYC with likely some DC and BOS and other markets thrown in. And ironically some LHR slots force sold. Seems unlikely to me.

Seemingly JetBlue pilots are always predicting a merger. For a long time it was United because that’s their path into JFK and Florida market share. That talk has died down now and today it’s AA.

I'm sure more than one JB guy thought something was up when United launched their new colors.

The DOJ would never allow us or AA to merge with JetBlue. The monopoly of JFK wouldn’t pass public outcry. United might be able to play since they pulled out of JFK. IMHO Hawaiian would be the most likely dance partner.

SWA would be a much better fit, UAL second and some random combo of 1-2 of NK F9 etc third. Fourth would be a (highly unlikely IMO) fragmentation and fifth would be Hawaiian. I haven't looked in a while but back when DL/HI merger talk was going around their debt was so high there was no chance of it happening. If DL didn't want to shoulder high debt for some low yield capacity and 1 or 2 HND slots (at the time) I doubt JB or even the venture caps would be interested.

United is back JFK, and they would still practically monopolize NYC in a merger situation with their size at EWR and B6 at JFK.
