Actually, MMC is "Mid Month Conversion" not a shadow period. Puts you in limbo until OE complete and you have started the following bid period. (e.g., you complete 44X on the 19th and do your OE on the 22nd thru the 25th). You cannot pick up anything for the remainder of that month because you are still considered to be in your previous category till the next bid period when you will convert.

If you don't finish OE in the shadow period, what is your obligation? Are you on indefinite reserve with a 30 hour call out?
