Deadhead question about this provision:
PWA 8. D. 3. A pilot who is scheduled to deadhead at the end of a rotation will be booked on flight(s) scheduled to return the pilot to their base as soon as possible.
I have a 0XXX trip built by CS. The last day is a DHD only day. I was looking to see if there was an earlier flight and there are actually 2 earlier DLs (mainline and RJ). If I take the next earlier flight it still provides over 10h of rest.
Because the rotation as built doesn't get me back as soon as possible is it an illegal rotation? Or am I missing something that could possibly make it a legal rotation?
If I call CS are they going to just "fix the glitch" and call it good?
Does this fall under the "errors and omissions" part of the PWA?
TIA
