Back to what this thread is great for:
I have X day tomorrow (Sunday) followed by 5 days on (which this morning they filled with a 5 day trip already).
Today (sat) at around 7pm they award me a one day GS which I acknowledge and is great because it also gives me PB day on Monday and PR till 0200 on Tuesday, which they modified my schedule by dropping the 5 day trip on my schedule and putting the PB/PR day for Monday/Tuesday.
At around 9pm they (schedules) calls me and leaves a message saying " that GS rotation is no longer on your schedule". I check my schedule soon after I got the message and sure enough, it's gone, as is any mention of it on the daily trip coverage. I now see on trip coverage that the flight is covered by an LCA on a YS doing IOE for the two legs.
Schedules removed the PB/PR from my schedule, but did not reissue me the 5 day trip (I see in trip coverage that they actually ran a GS coverage for that about 8pm and issued it).
As a reserve, do I have any right to any pay or is that just too bad/so sad for me?
TIA

Correct. One of several remaining loopholes which are on my list of things to fix in C26: “Establish Reserve rotation guarantee.”
It is total BS that a Reg is guaranteed pay while the reserve pilot gets squat.

They had unrestricted use inside of 690hrs before the agreement and they didn’t publish Jack squat to show who got paid.
Now there is a max time (8hrs) they can invoke 23.M.7 and they publish a daily list of use and paid pilot….I guess I’m not seeing how it got worse.

Seriously though, how often did they use it even 8 hours in advance? I always thought it was primarily a short notice panic button by scheduling. If they weren’t doing long notice 23M7 anyway then we gave away significant leverage for……what? A liter of cola?I’d love to see the actual stats (and they may be different than what I think) how often was 23M7 used outside of 8 hours before this latest back room deal?
