Negative. Only mandatory displacements I believe.

New base, yes.
Closed base, yes.
Displacement, MD or VD, yes.
AE, no free move for you.

*lots of caveats to the above, read Section 6

Edit: Ar beat me to it.

Delta in the news again. This one is really weird. And is SLC engines off de-ice?

cliff notes - man accesses ramp, crawls into A220 engine on de-ice pad, found dead

Weird.

SLC deices with engines running. They were probably sitting there shut down for a flow time to San Fran.

"At around 10:10 a.m., police and airport workers found the man unconscious inside a wing-mounted engine of an occupied commercial aircraft on the deicing pad, the department said. The aircraft’s engines were not running at the time."

Think the article said AM when they meant PM. The only cancellation I see on SLC-SFO yesterday was DL2348. Pushed at 21:33, then RTG then cancelled. Extra section was run on a 320 this morning.

Funny technological breakethrough.. My 16 yr old, who has never seen anything besides a smart phone, was handed a flip phone. She was scrolling through the basic apps trying to figure out how to make an outgoing call. To her it was mind-blowing that you could just dial and hit call. Of course, that assumes you actually know anyone's phone number.

Random question, how does one see how much vacation time they have accrued with which to bid vacation for the following year? I returned from long term leave and so have a different-than-standard amount, but I'm not sure how much exactly. The vacation bid page in iCrew doesn't show it, and the VTS page doesn't show anything for this year because I don't have any and says "ONLY CURRENT, NEXT AND FUTURE BEGIN DATES ALLOWED" if I choose the April bid period, which doesn't make any sense at all.

And OMG this silly Auto-Saved notification...burn it with fire!!!!

I managed to earn some PBs in Dec. I'm planning to try and use them in Feb. First choice would obviously be to bid for a line and get a high credit 1 day trip and then use that to cash in the PBs. Assuming that doesn't work (not senior enough) is the next best thing to snag a high credit 1 day off the Pilot Swap Board? It seems like people start posting their trips there as soon as the PBS awards are posted.
