JFK agents are the worst offenders. Last month I was waiting patiently in the seat closest to the podium, and then told at D-15:00:01 I was cleared, and then yelled at to "hurry up!" by the gate agent as I'm power walking onto the jetbridge five seconds later. Come on now. Clear me 30 seconds earlier if you expect me to teleport onto the plane.

Had a NY agent miscount seats available, escorting 3 NR down for last seats...they walked back up and said there were only 2 seats available...we watch the jetway pull back and plane leave with 2 empty seats. Wife and I were next in line for those seats...Agent said some bullsh$t about "customers have priority".

"The emergency slide that fell off a Delta flight departing from JFK Airport on Friday was found two days later — washed up in front of the beachside house of a lawyer whose firm happens to be suing Boeing over safety issues, The Post has learned."

Thirty-five years ago in LAS with high heat a passenger tried to open an over wing. The cockpit light came on, went back, handle was stowed. Back to cockpit, no light. Took off, light came back on. Returned to Vegas with hot wheels. Mechanics were honked. "Why did you return? it's a plug door." I said, "I'm not worried about the exit, but rather the slide external door pin may be pulled." "I don't want that @#$# slide wrapped around the tail." An hour later it was cool enough to reset the door. Nice to see they finally figured it out.

You were going to take off with a pax who’d already tried to open a door…??

It was a different time, not too many loonies, just a German kid trying to get a little air.

Unrelated question, but if you are removed from the first half of a rotation for company convenience, can you drop the rest of the trip via the swap board or swap with the pot without losing pay protection for the first half?

Does anyone know a way to download CQ slides to view offline on the iPad?
