Makes sense, he's a super senior FO.
Ya that's a nice incentive as long as your not constantly abused. Otherwise, with unused SC and an easy GS, its pretty easy to hit that. Though this requires working a day or two on non reserve days, so I can see the appeal.

I am getting the usual currency pop-up requesting my availability days to maintain currency. Every other time I had this I was on reserve, but this month I have a line. I am giving them days that I am off and also days that I have trips. Are we pay protected if they schedule me and drop a trip? Is this even an option - do they ever drop trips to send you to bounces?
Thanks Scoop

You have to give them 14 days. If you can, give them those 14 days over your scheduled trips. If they don't schedule your RCY over one of those 14 trip/rotation days, any placement of RCY becomes a mutual agreement thing and you hold the cards.
You are pay protected for any trip that is dropped for RCY but they do reserve the right to rejoin you on the dropped trip after you do your bounces. Usually not a factor on 3-4 day international rotations but could come into play on a 6-day "W" rotation.

Did anyone receive an email from the company about reroute pay adjustment shortage? They mentioned certain pilots have been shorted and I’m an affected pilot, but I don’t know where to look to see how much. They said all the pilots pay will pay out April 15th.

Is the MEC Grievance Settlement for reroute pay in effect? Should’ve started a couple days ago if the company hasn’t implemented the automation they were supposed to.

Thanks - just what I was looking for.

YGBFSM! PWA 11.B.1.b:
It's actually 84:59 with a Reserve Guarantee of 72
, but I would Reattack with Crew Assist and cite 11.B.1.b, then call the CPO if they eff it up again.
Regardless, submit a Dart, and I would submit an FCR demanding to know how the heck a "pay specialist" is so bad at thier job that they can get that wrong.
That's totally unacceptable. They need to fix that immediately.

Ended up doing 5 crew assist pay inquiries. All 5 closed out without resolution. ( A mix of we calculated it correctly, to routed to the wrong person, to don’t know). Each crew assist case I included a detailed break down of how my reserve guarantee was supposed to be calculated as well as copies of the page in SRH that shows how to do the calculations and a link to the online calculator that does the calculation for you. I even showed the CPO time cards of guys I’m going thru training with that bid reserve and got paid correctly.
In the end was told, sorry we all thinks it’s correct.
Beyond frustrating, compounded by the fact that I have no visibility on who’s actually making these calls and can’t talk to them to explain what’s going on.
Submitted an STS, hopefully the union can get it straightened out several months from now.
