I'm a 15 year narrowbody fo. QOL is most important to me. I already have that. Pay is the most important thing to me in this contract. These guys take the first upgrade (which tells me qol really isn't that important to them), spend most of their career as junior captains, then scream they want better qol and don't care about pay.

I think most QOL people mean items that will increase QOL and pay, such as increased pay AND credit for training/vacation. Lots of items that can do both, especially considering pay doesn't often wander far from the pack.

The problem especially in todays environment is QOL is a virtual synonym for staffing. Anything that changes staffing is going to be a tough sell going forward unless you provide a offset (concession) somewhere else.

Sure, the union will need to get creative in their solutions. Temporary offsets for permanent gains might be a place to start.

Also, if pay is important, you can always upgrade with some decent seniority. That is the greatest thing about this job. There is literally something from everybody.

You already made one mistake so don't make it two. Change your vote to NO. Probably a mute point since it sounds like the MEC will pull the TA. And it sounds like the can do it. Thank God they had an escape claus in it

I hear you, but have to ask, as a 15yr NB FO, does RR not affect you? I flew last year with the number 1 FO in SLC who is a 30 NB FO and they rerouted her off a cushy trip to a sh!tshow trip. I think we absolutely need to have some reroute fixes.

After decades of consessionary contracts and having literally millions ripped from the hands of individual pilots ALPA and sadly many of its members have fallen victim to the very thing we are trained to resist. Constantly siding with the company and not thinking we are worthy of getting those lost dollars back is the definition of the Stockholm Syndrome. Man/ woman up and snap out of your defeatist attitude.
