The anti-union antics of 2020 are costing Delta a fortune.

I really wanted Delta to stay on top. It's much more enjoyable playing for a winning team.
The last paragraph in that article is very telling. If he sees it...He's 100% right but the question is, will the BOD act? It feels like this airline has become a vanity project for him. You can't open DLNet without an "Ed is named -------" or a look-at-me photo at some event. It's time for some hard questions of our exec leadership and I'm not interested in "who could have seen THAT coming?". You SHOULD have seen that coming. A transnational multi-billion dollar airline doesn't table top contingencies? That alone is problematic.

I just scrolled through all our cancellations listed on flight aware. ~3 757 flights, ~7 A220 flights, and every one other than those were on the 737 or 320 fleets. At least the 717 and WB fleets are running decently right now.

Seems like he is in lockstep with our CIC as far as seeing things coming, accepting responsibility and accepting "The buck stop here " mantle.

Did you expect any other behavior‽

Yeah, don’t really give a hoot about what’s going on from an FA on a pilot site, even if I’m married to one. The FA’s on my last trip
were junior, senior, etc….all did a great job and didn’t complain to much.

granted, they didn’t write a first grade pilot finance 101 book and have their Dad write a review in it. Come on man, the Govt education can’t do better than that?

Being married to a FA explains a lot...

I’m just astonished at how much it bothers you that one of your colleagues, that is a flight attendant, but also is a pilot (just not at Delta) posts on this forum.

Are you losing sleep over this? Do you need a referral to a specialist? Perhaps talk to one of the ALPA pro stan people? CPO?

As Joe Biden would say…come on man!

The weather is supposed to be impeccable this entire weekend in Mecca so there is that. I’m fully confident today we’ll cancel enough to get back on track to hit 1k cancellations over 4 days. The only wildcard IMO is Monday.

I definitely believe we will be the #1 airline this weekend... in cancelations. I think we should get a performance + pay out if we hit 1k. Lol

9% cancelled today. Company (Ed) is blaming ATC, weather and Covid. I would not buy a used car from our CEO.
