People are delusional. The threshold to even hold an election is too high. Raising the showing of interest to 50% essentially makes it impossible for very large groups to even have a union election unless management does something egregious and shoots themselves in the foot.

In your opinion would rescinding positive space be enough to move the needle on the union issue vote?

Not even close.

In order to have enough of a drive to hit that 50% threshold you'd have to have a combination of you guys getting huge improvements (and us not getting anything comparable), take PS commuting away while other airlines keep it, other FA groups getting considerable improvements, and a few negative changes to work rules. If all these things happen then "maybe" it can get to that 50% threshold.

Looking at some NB daily trip coverages, I would expect a lot more Inverse Assignments and GSWCs this weekend. Seems to me that either crew scheduling became overwhelmed or just gave up. Not sure why those tools wouldn't be used otherwise.

I’m guessing it’s direction from above. Not sure the reasoning. I remember the 717 FO shortage back in early 2017. There were a sea of conflict trips every day for weeks on end but the operation kept moving.

They blame the cancellations on weather and ATC? Nobody from the press bothered to ask them exactly where the weather is?

Down here in Newnan the weather has been fantastic and I don’t recall seeing any major storms anywhere.
