Hundreds of cancellations

I really don't 'know' anything. Just heard that she left with very short notice and had been with him for a long time. I have no confirmation to back it up so it is complete rumor. Considering what we have seen in the last year or so I am not surprised.

All I know is things are going south quickly out there. Hundreds of cancellations daily (weekends at least), mad passengers, fed up over worked employees, and the hits just keep coming. We need a strong message from management, or else it will keep going until the damage is not in our ability to repair for years.
Not holding my breath. Until the stock bottoms out, I don’t think there will ever be a true leadership plan.

There seems to be a lot of similarity between our government and our CEO. No one wants to take responsibility for problems they have caused. I'm not counting on our BOD to do anything either, and I have heard they are politically aligned with EB. Not sure if that's true or not.

Nor do they ask how or why ATC, Weather, or COVID disproportionately effects Delta relative to all the other airlines combined...almost 2-3x.

The last paragraph in that article is very telling. If he sees it...He's 100% right but the question is, will the BOD act? It feels like this airline has become a vanity project for him. You can't open DLNet without an "Ed is named -------" or a look-at-me photo at some event. It's time for some hard questions of our exec leadership and I'm not interested in "who could have seen THAT coming?". You SHOULD have seen that coming. A transnational multi-billion dollar airline doesn't table top contingencies? That alone is problematic.
Ed and gang have seated a board that won't do anything. There are quota seats that never speak and the others are problem solvers...they'll focus on helping Ed and gang solve the problem rather than assign blame for the problems and solve them with changes in leadership. What Ed lacks in operational experience, he is very political and will only surround himself with people that agree with him and nod their heads.
