How long did it take Delta to earn that reputation? And it literally took them months to just urinate it away. I’m thinking there won’t ever be a bonus day again like the big ones last decade.

I think there will be because of the lack of capacity and strong demand. It won't be because of our excellence, that's for sure. If we can keep pace with the other majors and have an additional 15% capacity gap that's great.

ESG is a joke. Even Wharton teaches a class that focuses on ESG and laughs at those that actually change their business strategy trying to capture ESG investors. There is no standard for ESG and Gensler avoids conversations regarding ESG and whether the SEC will establish a ESG standard.

I think some of you (most?) need some Xanax.
Ed inherited a good ship and fine tuned it to be even more fine tuned. Profits went up and then he optimized us and they went up more.
Then COVID. The long plan started out just fine in the short term. We over cut and were the wisest in the industry for not pushing too many flights while every single other airline fell apart and canceled 10s of thousands of flights.
Now we are deep into the recovery and having over cut we are lagging for a short time. We have hired nearly 1000 pilots in 5 months. 1000. Let that sink in. Years ago we hired barely more than that in a year and everyone was screaming how it was unsustainable and we were about to fall apart.
How many of that 1000 hired so far are actually on the line yet? This current debacle is going to be a blip on the radar to everyone in a year once we are all spooled up.
Mistakes were made but give me a break that we wont be rocking and rolling here going forward.
Everyone seems to only remember the good things about Anderson. Remember, ta1?

Nice try. This is due to vindictive management. They wanted us to agree to ALV reductions. We wanted SILs. They didn’t get their way and instead of offering SILs which would have left pilots trained in position, they pulled the lever for massive displacements and furloughs—they were showing us who’s boss. This was an unnecessary and vindictive move which is costing all of us dearly today.

Well at least he has BLM off our backs now that we're proudly flying the flag at the GO and wearing BLM pins. Nevermind the fact that BLM used millions to buy personal real estate properties and fatten up their family/friends by paying them for "services".
Do we at least get a prize for being the wokest airline out there?

Ok, cool. That wasn't part of my message at all. Point is this will be behind us and we will be on to complaining about something else. We hired 1000 already this year plus what we hired last year and another 2000+ coming in the next 12 months to get us to nearly 16000 on the list.
