Not trust? That's extreme. Certainly we should go into it with an open mind but yes absurd to say we outright shouldn't trust anything your union says.

Why are you still trying to paint this in absolutist terms? What I don’t trust is that they will give us the whole story of the agreement, warts and all, without being pressured by us to provide it. Even then it likely won’t be the full picture. If we want to find out what the limitations and pitfalls could be we will likely have to figure that out beyond DALPA communiques. I’ve made this point clear and you keep twisting it to try and discredit the argument. Why do you want so badly for everyone to just take everything DALPA says as gospel? You’re really attacking me hard on this issue at a personal level and it’s weird.

While I agree that distrust should not be the default reaction, a degree of skepticism is healthy. Were you here for TA1? ALPA burned a lot of trust with that sales job.

I think the appropriate reactions are cautiously optimistic or cautiously pessimistic. There are way too many voices that are burn it down..

The union should learn to speak Minnesotan. Approach everything as a non-negative: It’s a TA, it’s not that great, but not that bad. Vote no, but only if you want to. I might not vote no.

Pilots are a suspicious bunch. (Wonder why…) If the union thinks it’s a win, the reaction is sales job. Everybody wants the pro/con to read like a pharmaceutical ad: cures cancer, but could cause diarrhea, vomiting, loss of hair, lack of sleep… I mean what a POS pill! That’s 4 things bad vs 1 thing good. I mean, the good thing is you don’t die of cancer, but c’mon… sales job.

Yeah so, not having any real info yet is not too good, but not seeing how bad it could be is not too bad. A pilot couldn’t complain too much cause they don’t know, you know? Except of course complaining about not having any info. That isn’t too good.
It’s really just too bad we can’t wait a bit.
