Agree with you on the delusional part...it's ok to have differing opinions. On the second part, many swore up and down (some quite indignantly) that if we voted down TA1, that we wouldn't get anything better. Yet, some of those very people admitted they were wrong and ate crow. Of course they followed it up with all the excuses "new CEO, UAL agreement, blah blah blah." Bottom line, they were adamant that they were right and ended up being wrong (their words).

Trust me. I'll happily be wrong and eat crow!!!

New players this time, don't you think?

No I honestly don't think they are any different. YMMV

There is either one of two scenarios vis a vis Endeavor that I can come up with. Management knows damn good and well that the pay rates they signed off on are unsustainable and are going to either :
1) dismantle EDV as they slowly transition EDV flying (not to be confused with EDV the enterprise) into mainline and it becomes a part of mainline. To do this, they need to grow the bottom end of mainline flying to capture what they now do. If we see orders associated with out contract, I would think this is the path they intend to follow. 2) Absorb EDV into mainline over time.

Either way, they have set a dot for pay, because they cannot prove/guarantee that these pay rates are temporary. As far as I am concerned, they need to break out their checkbook, adjust our pay rates based on EDV's and start paying us what we are worth..... annnnnnnd... with a big ole huge slice of retro to cover those guys that retired under the contract they refused to negotiate while they were taking government money.

Lastly... I don't think we see a AIP/TA until next summer at the earliest, and retro won't be in that offing.

Fire away
