Oof has issues getting along with others. Don’t interfere with his attempts to push a failed narrative. Hypocrisy at its best.

1st and 2nd quarters were negative GDP growth, but it didn't make any headlines because ... reasons ... or mid terms.

I was being completely serious. While two quarters is a colloquial (if insufficiently nuanced) way to call a recession, the recession’s end isn’t as well-discussed. Hence some people arguing we are in one and others arguing we are not. I wasn’t accusing you of anything, so you can chill out

you haven’t seen any headlines anywhere about negative GDP in q1 and 2? Where do you get your economic news?

I was referring to headlines regarding "the recession." Plenty of media outlets report on economic news of quarterly GDP. Bloomberg, CNBC, Fox Business, etc.

I don't blame the administration for spinning bad economic news -- each administration does so, and will continue to do so.

My issue was your insistence that I was deciding “what narrative I want[ed] to push.” Don’t back-peddle, just own your unconscious bias.

it was a royal “you,” but equally applicable to the individual

We've been in a recession since Jan 2021.
