Lee Moak v 2.0
As I wrote last week the majority of the LEC reps had already decided who our new MEC president would be. Today it became official. Our new chairman did not want the strike vote to be taken and also stated recently that he believes in “proactive engagement “ with the company. In my opinion all 9 reps who voted for Hartmann deserve to be recalled. This is a huge step backwards, yet again, for ALPA. Expect a substandard TA in the near future.

What an absolute travesty for this pilot group.
In every interaction I’ve had with DH he has been on the companies side of everything. Going as far when I was a new hire here years ago, when he was the C20 rep of explaining TVM to me. He was dead inside because TA1 had failed.
Here we are.
I know that nobody asked, nor does anyone care—but I really think ALPA policy needs to change. These guys can send their campaign letters out. Hold a virtual debate. I don’t care. However, it should be like a general election with 15,000 of us choosing our new leader.
Not this. There is no reason a group should get together in Las Vegas, play a little blackjack, and select who’s gonna lead our MEC. This was a bad choice, and he only had to be political with a couple handfuls of people. No way this guys self serving BS would pass the sniff test for most of us.
People, myself included Emailed their reps saying DO NOT vote for him. No response. Here we are—dealing with a disaster for the next couple of years.
Policy needs to change.
