So you don’t support the rail workers?

he also voted to give them their sick leave, one of the few Rs to do so.

on this issue he voted exactly in line with the unions.

I give him credit for that, for sure. Based on everything he's said and done in the last few years, I have little faith that it was anything more than a political move knowing there would be no repercussions to his vote in either direction

Fully knowing his vote meant nothing but would make a great campaign commercial.

they were only a few (6?) votes short on the sick leave bill.

Regardless, he stuck up for them more than the Ds did.

Six Republicans voted for the sick leave measure: Sens. Mike Braun (Ind.), Ted Cruz (Texas), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Josh Hawley (Mo.), John Kennedy (La.) and Marco Rubio (Fla.).

Sen. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) was the only Democrat to vote against the bill.

6, SIX! Rs were against it period. 1 ONE D voted against it. (DINO)

BTW even with them it was 8 votes short of the 60 threshold.

Can we just admit it’s all theater and none of them voted for anyone else’s interest but their own? To pretend any politician is pro labor is ridiculous. Stop cherry picking to grand stand about R vs D. They all suck

This goes back to my point that politics isn't the answer to the RLA. It's law and there's no real energy to change it. We need to address this individually in our contracts. E-S-C-A-L-A-T-O-R vvvvvvvvv

After checking with McConnell and knowing FULL well it would not pass, Republicans with 2024 Presidential ambitions voted in favor of Bernie Sanders’ bill. Then they met with hedge fund bros and rail executives, had really good scotch and laughed about how they made Biden look like a complete putz. They weren’t wrong.
