And the pilot group wouldn’t agree to that. Ever.

Back pay to the Amendable Date. Pay tables and per diem increases, adjusted for inflation (CPI+), should be the starting point; then factor in what is the new "industry standard." That is, IMO, a reasonable start.

Until I read otherwise, I trust our negotiators to know this and effectively present it to the negotiations.

Biden is already catching hell. Organized labor comprises a big chunk of his support. Also I wouldn’t put it past the railway workers to strike anyway.
And the numbers you mention are a hard NO from me, and I would expect significantly more than 50% of this pilot group. If the MEC presented this to me I’d be wanting new representation and a new negotiating team.

The NC and MEC would never pass that.

If it went to MEMRAT it would fail 96% No.

Stay calm. We hold all the cards.

Then let’s get on with it. If their best offer won’t pass, so be it. Better than continuing to mess around. It’s time for the next step in the process, whatever that may be.

It's just a minor typo, but it amuses me.Our contract is amenDable. I had a date who was amenable once. She was awesome. Just trying to lighten the mood.

3 years would be right around the amendable date. Currently 2 years 11 months, easily rounded to 3 years, especially by another pilot group. (where this rumor originated)

but this is just a free floating balloon not related to reality so probably not worth arguing semantics.
