Term limits for reps would be helpful. (yeah I know.. submit a resolution, blah blah blah... which they would kill in one of their little committees. I have better things to do with my time (believe it or not)

The administration is being lead by economic and political dumbasses. The President is a brain dead potted plant. If whoever is running the show had any sense they would have never allowed the NMB to release the rails. Who does the NMB work for? Oh ya, the President. Duh.

That is highly unlikely. We’ll never even get close to “Congress”. In fact, you won’t ever see a legacy carrier get released for self help. I know, the narrative here is that a legacy only represents 20% of the lift capacity so we will be allowed to strike. BS. The railway labor act is a political tool in the end to prevent strikes. Find me an administration, Republican or Democrat that finds it politically expedient to have a strike that will negatively effect the economy.

It’s very peculiar reading the Flying the Lines VOL I/II and hearing about all the backbone that existed, only to scratch your head wondering where that is now? Where’s National?

do you honestly think we could strike for a year and delta would still be financially solvent? (Assuming we don’t have a large group of pilots scab which I would hope we have as close to zero as possible)
IF a strike were to happen, it would be over in a matter of days IMO, because that’s all DL could afford.

Yeah OK. He's right. It was simply a completely stupidly hyperbolic thing to say on his part and I should have just called it out that way.
1) We ain't striking anyway
2) if we do, it wouldn't go on for a week much less a year.

Great question. I have been wondering why DePete hasn't come out with a statement that we are in support of the rail workers. At least SAY he is even if he isn't going to do anything worthwhile. (why start now, right?)

Exactly. I don’t think it’s beneficial for ALPA inc. to make those kind of waves. Last thing you want to do is create a bunch of believers in the rank in file. Believers get ****ed when they get smart and realize they’ve been duped.
