I have one of these. It looks sharp but it’s heavy to carry around all week for that one cold destination. I usually only break it out once or twice a winter.

I have one too. Looks good and covers me for all the northern winter destinations. It’s easy to throw on top of my roller bag (rollaboard?) when I don’t need it and I don’t have to sweat walking around the plane in Saskatoon. I carry it all winter and have yet to regret it, but I’m based up north and don’t bid away from snow and cold toes. I’m also not gonna do a 30° walk around in a t shirt for toughness points so it is what it is.

I’ll make my regular pitch for a leather jacket.

Easy to wear, easy to clean, makes a tolerable pillow for the commute home.

That never stopped leather jacket wearers in the past.

Umbrella?

Trench Coat?

Of you just dong the preflight in your white button down shirt?
Seriously? I bring a small umbrella that fits in the side of my bag. It’s not rocket science. FO for over 15 years when it was rare that a CA did a walk around and never had any issues getting wet.

Yes serious....I even put in my post to you.

You use an umbrella when doing walk around? Well If I ever see that on the walk around I'll know it's you because I haven't see a single person use an umbrella out on the ramp.

My packable rain jackets fits into its own pocket and also fits in my bag....not rocket surgery.

Never had any issue getting wet, sans umbrella.
